Q: Are these Gastric Reflux symtoms?

Last night I was literally in the middle of a conversation when I experienced an acute onset of a sore throat, followed by pressure to the ear canal, then leading to constrictive feeling in the chest. I also felt like the epigatric portion of my stomach was inflamed and was pressing against my diaphram causing even more pain. I found it difficult to take a full breath and was unable to sleep the entire night as a result. The pain in my chest and throat continue today. My stomach has settled down because I took some milk of magnesia to move things through, but I continue to get cramping in my stomach. Taking deep breaths is still painful and the throat pain goes from highly acute to dull and annoying. I took Tylenol for pain.

I've never experienced anything like this before, although I have had some problems with constipation/diarhea.

What is your opinion.

Thanks for your question. Only a doctor can diagnose what may be wrong with you,  so you should seek his or her opinion.

Chest, stomach and throat pain or discomfort can all be symptoms of GERD. However, only a doctor can tell you what they may be caused by in this case.
