Hi.  I think the above person has given you really good advice on preventing acid reflux, but if it is really bad, then maybe you should see your doctor and ask their opinion.  They might be able to give you a prescription for Losec.  Otherwise you could go to your pharmacy and get some Gaviscon.  I've found that this really helps.  The Double strength or peppermint is best.  (In liquid form).  This won't prevent it from happening, but it will take away the burning sensation and some of your symptoms. Hope this helps.
