Q: Gnawing stomach pain?

I'm a 15-year-old boy and I have been having this awful burning, gnawing feeling in my stomach, like the kind of pain you have when you haven't eaten, but it's all the time. The pain has been happening off and on over the past couple weeks, usually the day after I eat a lot, and sometimes I have trouble going to the bathroom. I can't figure it out -- please help!

Get there, Andrew --

I know this is a really old question, but I did want someone from our staff to answer you!  Did you ever find out what was causing this pain? It sounds like reflux to me, probably brought on by eating large meals that are hard to digest, but I'm on a layperson and can't diagnose your issue. Did you end up going to a doctor or finding other ways to manage it?  If so, perhaps you'd consider coming back and telling us how it turned out?  It might be helpful to someone else going through the same thing.

Again, apologies to you for this question not being answered sooner.  Here are some links on reflux that might be useful to you.  Be well!
