Hello Ken, Your question is well timed! I am attending the American Academy of Pediatrics meeting this weekend and heard a pediatric laryngologist speak on voice problems. While there are different causes of voice problems, reflux can have a role in causing a hoarse voice. You may want to ask the GI doctor about getting a referral to a Ears, Nose and Throat doctor (otolaryngologist) or a Laryngologist. In addition, some hospitals and clinics offer voice clinics so you can get a voice evaluation from a speech language pathologist. Good luck with this frustrating problem. Jan Gambino The Reflux Mom
