Q: i have been on every class of drug for refluxnone has worked,i have made lifestyle changes and my re

i had a nissan in 98,very successful no reflux for 10 years.Recently had endoscopy showed the barretts and that the nissan wasnt there anymore.Reflux has returned feels like 24/7.I am on every drug available and nothing has worked,I have been following evry lifestyle change with no improvement in fact its worse.not sure what to do but wish my gastrologist would send me to surgeon to be evaluated for nissan redone.

Hello Brian,

It certainly makes sense to ask for a consult with the surgeon. I know some surgeons hesitate to re do the fundoplication surgery. Between the Gi doctor and the surgeon, you need a plan for controlling the Barretts.
