Hi dominic,   Yes, acid reflux can cause trouble swallowing, burping and nausea. For more information on the different symptoms of acid reflux click here.   You should schedule an appointment to see your doctor. He or she will be able to prescribe some medications that may help your symptoms.   Some things you may try in the mean time include:  - using pillows to elevate your head at night when sleeping  - avoid eating 3 hours before going to bed  - OTC medications  - avoid spicy, fatty, citrus foods as well as alcohol (for more information on the foods that can trigger acid reflux click here.)   I know it's frustrating! I hope this helps.
