Hi Lulu, I have had a heart attack, and have lived with GERD. I've had episodes that mimiced the heart attack, and been put in cardiac observation numerous times. Finally, I got tired of the hospital and the "non-cardiac chest pain", and demanded a differential diagnosis from my PCP. The final answer was GERD with Barrett's Esophagus, and esophageal spasms. So the answer to your question is "Yes". BUT, you really need a qualified doctor's diagnosis. Women do not always have normal symptoms with a heart attack! Also, because men are more likely to develope Barrett's Esophagus exponentially over women, doctors tend not to look for this in women. (the old horse-zebra admonition).
Best of luck... but see your doctor!
Been there, done that.
