Sunday, August 21, 2011 Debbie asks

Q: My 28 year old daughter who has suffered depression for many years sleeps until early afternoon each day, has no motivation to do anything. She watches t.v. & is on the computer when she is awake.

She has been to mental hospitals in the past. She has been taking celexa for about one year prescribed by our family doctor. Nothing has helped her, she will not seek help because she believes that she is fine mentally. Anything that I ask her to do becomes over whelming. Without health insurance, it has been very difficult for her to seek any kind of help.My husband & I are at wits end. It creates tremendous stress in our house. Please help us.

You posted this question on a board for people with gastroesophageal reflux. I think you probably should post it on the depression board in order to get a good answer.
