Hi
Carabel is made by cow and gate and is a food thickerner for the babies feed to help them with reflux although my son does not have this, I have however been trying it and he is now being sick more than he was before he only had a small amount of spit up if he were to drink too much milk or chew his hands and gag himself (I think he is teeting at the moment too).
I have tried many things to soothe my baby, he has had his stool tested for lactose intolerance and that come back as borderline so they are not prepared to put him on any special milk such as Enfamil which I suggested to the doc, so we have the carabel and the colief, colief breaks the lactose down and I have noticed as soon as I try to reduce the amount of drops given to him in his feeds he gets upset and pulls his legs up again, making me think he needs a milk that is lactose free such as the Enfamil.
Thanks for your reply hope the above info is a little more helpful...
