Hello Vic Palma! You've found the wonderful benefits of Papaya, but did you also realize that pineapple grown in the United States is a low acidic hybrid that has enzymes that help the digestion process which helps prevent acid reflux? Also boiling chicory root and letting it cool, drinking it as a tea also has soothing benefits. You can read about these factoids in Dr Eisner's posting about them.   Jan Gambino, a resident expert here also talks about a book that has lots of natural remedy tips. You can read that article here, and about Jan Gambino here.     There is a user named ladyisis that has had issues and has found some help. You can read her postings here.   I hope you find this information helpful, hoever no online information can take the place of your doctor's advice. Only you and your doctor know what is best for you. This information will help you in forming the questions you want to ask your doctor.   Take care and stay in touch!Vicki M
