Hello! I am concerned about your baby. You need to bring her to the doctor and find out why she doesn't want to eat or drink. Sometimes a baby will eat very little from an illness. Other times, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) can make eating and drinking very painful. A baby may decide to "fix" the problem by not eating. This may be called a feeding strike or food refusal. When a baby only eats when she is sleepy, it is often called Dream Feeding. A baby can turn off the pain when she is asleep. If it is not possible to see the doctor today, you may need to go to the emergency room of the hospital or an urgent care center. I will be thinking about you. Jan Gambino
