Q: LPR

I have been diagnosed with LPR where the acid backs up into the throat. I have started taking Prilosic. On and off I get queasy especially during the day and  I feel no appetite and get a very dry mouth. Then at times my saliva tastes sour or bitter. Anyone else have these symtoms? There are times I feel so normal and can not figure it out, I think I am healed and then the next day they are back. Early morning burping too which can go on forever. Thanks Susan

It can take a good two weeks to see the full results from the Prilosec. Also, it sounds like you are getting some relief which helps confirm your diagnosis. If you have been taking the Prilosec for a full two weeks and you are still having symptoms you should go back to your doctor to discuss this. He may want to increase your dosage or try one of the other PPIs.
