Q: can i take nexium after eating

I am on drug the nexium and i want to know if i can take it after eating and at what time should i take it after eating

 

I also want to know if i can continue taking any other medication that i am on before i started taking nexium

Hi Compucare,

 

Thank you for your question! Nexium should be taken before eating, and works best if taken at least 1 hour before breakfast. The medication is better absorbed by the body when there is nothing else in the stomach.

 

There's no way for me to know if Nexium will interact with any other medications that you may be taking. You should consult your doctor or pharmacist to make sure it's okay to take those medications with Nexium. There is some information at this website about drug interactions with Nexium, but that list may not necessarily be complete. Best of luck!!
