Aciphex is a Proton Pump Inhibitor. It is still under trade mark and is not available as a OTC medication. There are however other PPIs available OTC such as Prevacid (brand name), Prilosec (brand name) or omeprazole (generic Prilosec). You should talk to your doctor about these options and what dosage she recommends. It can be a considerable cost savings to do OTC especially if you are able to manage on generic. Because you have lost your insurance you may consider putting a call into your doctor and explaining this to the nurse. Perhaps they can make a recommendation by phone.
