The problem with foods is that it seems like it varies with everyone. There is a list of foods that it is generally best to avoid especially at first when you are trying to determine what is making things worse. Jennifer Rackley is a dietitian on this site and both she and her children have issues with GERD. She has written a lot about the GERD diet.
I have found that my best solution is to track my symptoms and what I'm eating to see if I see any trends. That way I can find the foods that are problematic for me. (Like bananas are on no list but cause me severe heart burn????)
Best of Luck - Stephanie
