Q: my throat, chest and tongue are all burning. I cough up clear phlem, possible reasons?

I have been treated for a chronic sinus infection that didn't show up on a CT scan.  i have a burning chest and throat and tongue.  I sometimes feel as though my throat is blocked.  I cough up phlem that is clear.  I also have had a lot of dizziness.

Thanks for your question. Sensations in the chest and throat, including the feeling of a blocked throat, are among the common symptoms of GERD. Coughing up phlegm and dizziness, however, are not. You should check back in with your doctor about these symptoms. They may be something as simple as reaction to your sinus medication or symptoms of another disease or condition. Before you go to the doctor, you may want to try this symptom checker for some background information on what may be causing these sympoms. I hope this helps.
