Sunday, April 12, 2009 MFAMILY asks

Q: I have acid reflux. I take one Prilosec a day. Should I take more.

I have acid reflux and have taken Nexium 2x a day as prescribed. It worked, but too expensive. I switched over to Prilosec OTC 1 x a day as directed. It seems to worked fine during the day. I wake up with my symptoms in the morning. After I take the Prilosec I am fine for the day. Should I take more than one since I was prescribed to take more than one Nexium? Also, since my symptoms reoccur right when I wake up in the morning.
