what are the side effects of long term use of nexium
someone told me that nexium breaks down your bones over time, and i am having alot of pain in my bones, so i was wondering if this could be trrue.
Hi Debbie,
Thank you for your question. Nexium can cause bone pain, back pain, and in some patients, osteoporosis. If you are concerned that you may be having bone problems, this is something that you should discuss with your doctor. You may need to have a bone density screening done to test for osteoporosis. The bone density screening is a painless, noninvasive procedure that tests how solid your bones are.
Best of luck!
