sudden night chest pain that lasts the next day

My 54 year old [healthy, active, non-smoking/non-drinking] husband ate a bowl of cereal last night for dinner and had difficulty sleeping because of chest pain. He said that the pain subsided when he stood up. Today he still has chest pain [kind of a residue of the pain]. Do we need to be...
