Hi, Thanks for your questions. Prilosec (omeprazole) is only approved by the FDA for short-term use (4-8 weeks). If your symptoms are lasting for several months, or reappearing once you stop taking the Prilosec, you should discuss your symptoms with your doctor. You can read more about Prilosec at this website.
