Hello,

In most cases, GERD is managed through medication, diet and other treatments. The doctor must have a concern about your reflux to suggest surgery. Ask the doctor what the options are (medication and other treatment vs surgery). It might make sense to get a referral to a surgeon and find out more about the surgery.

If you think your Acid Reflux is that bad tat you can't live with it then I say shoot for it! It may help you but exactly how will this surgery help you? How could it harm you? Compare the two and if it can harm more than it can help then don't do it! If it's the other way around then I suggest you go for it! But it's really up to you. Try the advice it's gotten me through much! Reply
