Q: my food comes half way back up, makes me so nauseaus that i perge to get rid of the nausea. why do i

!why do i have the nausea? what can i do to calm down my acid reflux? i know it's bad on my esophogus to perge, but i CAN'T stand the feeling of nausea!!

Thanks so much for your question. Nausea after eating is often a symptom for some types of acid reflux. However, you should talk to your doctor to make sure it is actually acid reflux and not something else.

 

Acid reflux can be battled in part by changing one's diet. You may find this overview helpful. Ask your doctor if any of these dietary changes might work for you.
