I get this urge to cough but its from the chest area not throat

I get this urge to cough like there is some air trapped that i need to cough out. Its hard to explain, initially i thought maybe its my heart fluttering but  the ecg doesn't show anything. Sometimes TUMS help but mostly its annoying. Coughing finally does help for some time and then its back again.

Hello! The need to cough can be caused by many causes including: allergies, asthma, environmental irritants, reflux and more. You will need to work with the doctor and perhaps get a referral to a specialist (pulmonologist or allergist).
