You should take it everyday most acid reflux meds needs to build up in your system, doing this will allow you to reduce acid reflux with whatever you eat. Certain foods do cause acid as you said but still even knowingly taking before eating such foods taking it on a regular basis would be more beneficial. If in the case you only need it during these times you might just get over the counter meds to save money but if those are not enough then again take on reg basis
