Hello Adyssa's Mom, So sorry your daughter is having some digestive issues. It certainly makes sense for the doctor to refer Alyssa to a pediatric gastroenterologist if he/she needs further advice on how to proceed with the treatment. It does help the gastroenterologist if you can bring in all of the previous records such as the blood test results with you. You and your daughter can keep a journal of the symptoms. Writing down what she ate and when she had the discomfort may offer important information the doctor needs to help her. Let us know what you find out from the appointment with the specialist.
