I need to know more about a hiatal hernia and acid reflux. I have both , which came first?

I have suffered with acid reflux for years - was originally diagnosed with a hiatal hernia as well. I am not sure which came first, or how it might be immproved with surgery or treating the H hernia instead of all the medication for acid Reflux. I am doing all the things suggested to keep the...
