Hello M. Barefield,
If you have been seen by a doctor and they have ruled out any cardiac cause, it could be acid reflux. Chest pain is not usual, but can happen. The best thing to do is to see your doctor, but here is some information you can check out here online that will help you ask all the right questions.
To read about what acid reflux is, check out the overview here. To check your symptoms to see if what you are experiencing is related to acid reflux, you can check the symptoms database here. If your doctor should diagnose you with acid reflux and prescribes treatment, you can read about the treatments available here, and any medications you can check out in the drugs database here.
Hope this helps! Please stay in touch and let us know how you are doing!Vicki M
