Many people with reflux have a side preference. It appears as though the pressure changes in the stomach make a difference as to how well your esophageal sphincter closes off your esophagus. I accidentally found this in my daughter when she was a baby. She slept fine on her left side but not her right. My littlest though was the exact opposite!
