Q: Acid Reflux that comes and goes

My son has Acid Reflux that occassionaly is worse off than other times. However, when it is bad, it is REALLY bad. It seems to come about when he is teething and at this age I presume it will be more often. I need to help my son get relief. GI specialist gave him Prevacid but still that has not subsided the symptoms and he this thing seems to be taking over.  What is the next step?

Hello Kenan's Mom,

What a beautiful boy! It sounds like his digestive system is causing some pain. So sorry.

It is common to have more reflux symptoms during teething since there is more drooling. What happens during the really bad times? Crying? Tantrums? Poor sleep?

Sometimes as a baby switches from infant formula/breastmilk and baby food to milk and a regular diet, there is an increase in symptoms. Did he recently move to more of a toddler diet?

Sorry for so many questions!
