Hello Maia, A common condition in infancy, Milk Soy Protein Intolerance(MSPI) can cause symptoms that look like infant reflux: crying and fussing during and after feeding, poor sleep and spit up. Your doctor has confirmed signs of MSPI so a change of diet should bring relief from symptoms. It is important to read all food labels and search for hidden sources of dairy products in bread, crackers, cereal and other places you might not expect to find it.   It is possible that your baby has MSPI and reflux so it might take a few weeks on a new diet to see if there are still symptoms that need to be discussed with the doctor.   I am studying the new GERD treatment guidelines for infants and I will let you know if there are other new recommendations on feeding a baby. More to come. Jan Gambino The Reflux Mom www.refluxmom.com
