Hi Kate, Thank you for your question. Synthroid and Protonix do not interact with each other, and should both be taken on an empty stomach with a glass of water. You can take both together, preferably in the morning 30-60 minutes before breakfast so that they are absorbed as well as possible. Best of luck, Casey
