Q: Have you got any information on interstitial cystitis and chronic pelvic floor dysfunction?

Symptoms started in 1998 after a severe urinary tract infection.  Lower abdominal pain and cramping.  Swelling in the lower pelvis.  Weak urinary stream.  Was finally diagnosed with IC in December of 2000.  I've had some periods of remission but the disease remains and gets worse if I stray from my diet.  To add to this I also suffer from IBS and if one flares up it usually ends up fraring everything else up.  Current medications:- Elmiron 100mg/3xday; Neurontin 900mg/3xday; Bisoprolol for blood pressure 5-6.25/1xday; hydroxyzine 3x25mg/1xday; Elavil 50mg/1xday; Percocet for pain as needed; Xanax for pain as needed; Vytorin; Estrogen-methyltestos 1xday.
