My 16 year old daughter is diabetic type 1, she has mono now since 10/10 and now has been throwing up once aday for almost two weeks and is nauseated most of the time with the best time of day in early evening. She has had numerous blood tests and a ultrasound all with normal results, aside from being low on iron and Celiac test is not done yet. Could it be acid reflex one doctor thought it might be but I had my doubts.
Q: Does my 16 year old daughter, type 1 diabetic, diagnoised with mono possibily have acid relux?

Hello! Your daughter has a lot going on right now. I am sure she is tired of being sick...
I certainly wouldn't want to make a diagnosis but one of the many symptoms of Gastroesophageal Reflux is vomiting. It sounds like the doctor is looking at all possibilities which is important. Reflux can come on suddenly and an illness may trigger changes in digestion from poor eating, being reclined or in bed for a long time and even some medications can wipe out the good gut bacteria and cause symptoms.
Keep working with the doctor until you have found a way to decrease or eliminate the symptoms. Meanwhile, try keeping her upright for all meals and ask the doctor about elevating the head of the bed at night. She might need small snacks throughout the day rather than a large meal.
