my son is in pain right now and he says he feels like fire in his esophigas and that it hurts, I wasn't sure if it was a hyatel hernia or acid reflux..? I gave him 20mgs of omeprazole could this help him? He didn't feel like anyone should touch him at all.I propped him up on my sofa with pillows in the corner so he can sort of be reclined but up and able to rest, I asked him if he wanted to go see a hospital doc, he says no, but if he continues this way he will head to ER stat.

How did things work out? Problem with Omeprazole is that it can take a few days to fully take effect. With that much pain if he wasn't very quickly better it would've been a good idea to take him in to make sure it wasn't something very serious.
