sometimes I burp and it smellsl very foul!!!
I notice once in a while I burp and it smells Foul YUCK!! and it lasts for about 2-3 days I try to remember what it was that I ate and It doesn't seem to happen with the same foods I have like a nutty taste and what worries me is that I found out that my 13 year old son is having the same problem what is it and what can I do to stop it when I asked his Dr. he said "Oh thats probably acid reflux"
Im not a doctor or anything, ive been taking zantac do to heartburn and started looking at these questions, and your case is close to my wifes. She told me one day that her burp just smelled really bad, and being the drauma queen that she is i didnt pay any attention to then later she burped then said smell and i smelled it and it just stunk, found out whenever she drinks Dr. Pepper, it will do this, i am willing to believe its just the acid in her body mixing with this beverage and causing her to burp with a stench, so i guess just watch what you eat and drink and if the problem comes about again just remember what you drank or ate.

I too have a similar/same problem. I have acid reflux. I have always wondered if this was related to the acid reflux. I will get real foul smelling eggy burps. When they start I know what is coming. They will go on for hours but the end result is vomiting. Then usually after that I am fine and the burps are gone. I dread this happening as it will happen about every 6-8 weeks or so. I cannot find a pattern of what I ate last to cause it. Can anyone help answer this or does anyone else have this happen?

I have the exact same thing. It's been a few months since it's happened, and I hoped to never experience it again, but it's back. I haven't come up w/ anything specific setting it off. The burps start up, taste like blood/poo and smell about the same, the end result is the inevitable vomitting. I've had an upper endoscopy and an ultrasound for my galbladder and liver. I take 2 Nexium/day as prescribed for acid reflux and it seems to keep that under control. But the nasty burps keep coming back, any solution would be great.
I am going through this right now. Yesterday, I ate a very large quantity of pistachios.

Oh my goodness! I was just all over the internet looking for reasons my 11 year old step daughter is having smelly burps and a stomach ache and everywhere I look online, I see acid reflux. She doesn't fit the profile for acid reflux but I couldn't find anything else until I read this. I asked her yesterday what she had for lunch. She said McDanald's. I was like hmm... then she added, "oh yeah, and a Dr. Pepper and a coke" (not together but in the same day). I thought to myself those things would make her burp but would they make her burp this stinky? Then I read this and found a connection! Thank you for sharing!
