Hi Cheeky,

While there are alot of suggestions of what NOT to drink, there isn't alot of information about what you should drink. Everyone is different which makes it difficult to generalize, but here is some information I found that you might be interested in. Just remember, online sites are great resources for information so that you are able to ask the important questions that will help you manage your healthcare, however they can not take the place of your doctor's solid medical advice. So if you think you have an issue that needs medical attention, or you might be taking a medication that might have an interaction, it's best to ask your doctor.

Jennifer Rackley has written a share post about some of the natural remedies people try to help with acid reflux. You can read the entire article here, but here is an excerpt:

" As long as there have been illnesses there have been "natural remedies" reported to cure them. This is also the case with Acid Reflux or GERD. There are several items that have been touted as the next remedy for GERD. A few of the most popular include; apple cider vinegar, peppermint tea, papaya enzymes, slippery elm bark and probiotics."

Dr. Todd Eisner has also addressed natural remedies for acid reflux. Here is his most recent posting.

"Can papaya reduce acid reflux symptoms? What about similar fruits?

Certain fruits help with acid reflux because of enzymes that aid digestion. Papaya or pineapple are the most common. Papaya contains papain, an enyme that digests protein, thereby helping digestion, and pineapple contains bromelain, an enzyme that both aides digestion and reduces inflammation. Boiling chicory root, cooling it, and then drinking it as a soothing tea can be effective too. "

I hope this helps! Take care and make sure to stay in touch and let us know how you are doing!
