Thanks for your question. Chest pain in children can be caused by a myriad of different things, GERD being among them. You may find this symptom checker helpful in providing some more information into what is causing it. Ultimately, however, the best person to ask this question to is the child's doctor. Only he or she can give the proper evaluation needed to figure out if the child is feeling the effects of GERD or something else.
