Hi Rab123,   Persistant pain with no obvious cause is reason enough to see your doctor. While it might just be a false alarm, it could be something really serious. It's best to err on the side of caution. Here are some links to information that might help.   Here is a posting outlining the symtoms of appendicitis.   You can read about GERD here in the overview and you can check your symptoms here in the symptoms database. Once you have seen your doctor, if he prescribes medication for GERD, you can read about them here in the drugs database.
