Q: I give my infant Prevacid solutabs but they don't dissolve in water completely--any suggestions?

The tabs don't dissolve all the way--there is always a grainy residue at the bottom of the cup I mix it in, so I'm not sure she's getting the right dosage.  How can I make sure that these tablets are fully dissolved in water?  I've tried using more water but it doesn't help at all.

Hello Maya,

When you mix the solutab with water, there may be a bit of residue in the mixture. See if you can mix it in a small container and suck it into a medicine syringe. Once it is in the  syringe, it should be fine. You do want all of the little pieces and residue to be ingested for the proper dosing.

The manufacturer may have more advice on their website.

Hope it works!
