My daughter is currently taking metoclopramide and has been taking it since Feb 4, 2009.  She was dx with acid reflux with she was 4 weeks old.  She has had an upper GI and everything (anatomically was fine) as well as an ultrasound to rule out pyloric stenosis. The dosage has recently increased from .5 to .7 mls every 8 hours.  She is also on Zantac .7 mls every 8 hours.  My question is:  Is this dosage to high for a 3 month old?  What should I be looking for in regards to side effects.  I have noticed the tongue thrusting, but don't know if it is because of the medication or if it a baby thing.  I would like to ween her off this medication, but don't know if that is a good idea. Any info you can provide will be greatly appreciated.   Thank-you, Concerned Mommy
