Q: acid refux

when i drink cold liquids i get a very cold sensation when i swallow. i recently had an endoscope that did show acid reflux and inflammation. could this be esophageal spasms

Whether or not it's esophageal spasms is difficult to say. I can say though that with the reflux and inflammation it is very likely that your system is overly sensitive. For example, if you've ever had a sunburn you can think about how sensitive the skin feels everything is more intense. If you put ice on a sunburn it feels extremely cold.

 

Since I started having more issues with reflux, I've found that I prefer my water straight from the tap rather than cold. I think sticking with things closer to my body temperature seems to help.
