Hello! It is a good idea to call the doctor and ask for advice on this. Certainly any medication can cause unwanted side effects. You and the doctor will need to decide if the medication is doing what it was intended. Maybe another treatment will be recommended. Some babies need medication while other benefit from home care treatments such as elevating the sleep surface, thickening the formula or breastmilk and small, frequent meals.
