Q: how can i prevent lung, chest and back pains caused by acid reflux

Ive been having this problem for a very long time but i always thought i had problems with my heart and i never went to get checked up. i get severe chest pain and really bad pain around my lungs back and front and causes shortness of breath. yesterday i went to the doctor and she said i have acid reflux.This always happens to me and i never thought my stomach can cause me to not breath normally

What did the doctor suggest? Did she offer any suggestions or medications? Have you noticed that it is more severe with certain foods or during certain times of the day?
