I wake up at night caughing and choking and vomit in my mouth my throat is sore but this goes on all

night.  I have tried not to eat after 7 pm and just drink water after 7 pm also but i have acid reflux and baretts asaqfagus,.  I have increasede my nexium to two a day and added an additional medacine taking one at bedtime to help with the heartburn.  Some nights i am up all night choaking and have to stay up.  Once up my throat is sore and the cough stays all day.  What can I do.  Should I go to the doctor sooner than the first of the year.  My insurance is changing january 1st.  New coinsurance.  Everything is changing.  Even my work is chaning to state you can only take 12 weeks off and then you no longer have a job.  Starting jan 1 2010.  With the severe problems I am having is there a procedure they can do to help me before the end of the year to help.

You should definitely go back to see your doctor sooner rather than later as it sounds like your reflux is out of control. As you know, the Barrett's esophagus is changes to your esophagus due to the reflux that can increase your risk of esophageal cancer. Since you are not being controlled by the meds, it could be getting worse.
