Water brash is when some of the acid and fluid in your stomach comes up into your mouth. It is what we often refer to as reflux. While everyone refluxes into the esophagus on a daily basis, when it becomes problematic or often comes into the mouth it is of concern. In general though water brash is a very sour/acidic taste and different than increased saliva.   Increased saliva, and a sore throat can also be symptoms of reflux though.
