Hi Sandstone,

Acid Reflux can cause pain in the chest area that would mimic heart pain, however, the only true way to know is to see a doctor. You can read the symptoms of acid reflux here. While online sites are great places to get information that will help you when it's time to see the doctor, they can not take the place of your doctor's advice. Here is a great article that explains it a bit more in detail.

I hope this helps. While online sites are great places to get information that will help you ask all the right questions, they can not take the place of your doctor's solid medical advice.

Please stay in touch and let us know how you are doing!

I am experiencing the exact same thing on the upper left hand side.  My doctor ordered me a CT scan of my stomach to see if perhaps I have an ulcer.  He is also checking my pancreas.  But, he really believes it  to be caused by my GERD.
