Q: I am going to have a ph test for gerd. Do they sedate you for this procedure? scb11

The link gives you more information about the pH monitoring test. In general it is a 24 hour test where you are supposed to go about a pretty much normal day. The sedation will depend on how they place the probe.

 

You may want to call and ask specifics on how they will do the test and how long they will have the probe in place.
