Concerned about condition

I am a grandmother, my 10 month old grandson was diagnosed with acidReflux. I am not sure if he is on the right medications and/or if they are working for him. He has also gotten very very hyper. Acid Reflux diagnosis

All I know is that my tummy hurts pretty often. I am not meticulous about keeping track of what I consume to check for repeat irritants... I am wondering when is the right time to ask my doctor to check for acid reflux or something more serious. I usually don't even have time to see the doc! Thanks for any advice.
