Women who use antacids to fight heartburn during pregnancy may be increasing their child's risk of asthma, a new study suggests. Researchers tracked 585,000 children born in Sweden and found that a mother's use of common antacids during pregnancy was associated with a 43% greater likelihood that a child would have asthma.
