A small video capsule may help doctors diagnose Crohn's disease
that has been undiagnosed for up to 15 years, new research
suggests. Patients swallow a capsule-sized camera that takes two
pictures per second as it travels through the digestive system. In
tests performed at Wake Forest University, researchers were able to
identify six cases of Crohn's disease that had been undiagnosed
even in patients who had undergone colonoscopies and other tests.
